'Thunderbolts*' Stars Reveal the Meaning of That Asterisk
Meet the New Avengers.
Introducing the Thunderbolts New Avengers.
Ever since the title of Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts* was first announced, fans have been speculating about what that cryptic asterisk might mean. With the film now playing in theaters, the mystery has finally been revealed: Meet The New Avengers.

Backstage at the Hollywood premiere last week, the cast secretly recorded a video revealing the film's true title, ripping off the original name to unveil The New Avengers.
A certain cast member was also spotted making some in-person updates to the poster.
The film follows an unconventional team of antiheroes — Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), and John Walker (Wyatt Russell). After finding themselves ensnared in a death trap set by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), these disillusioned castoffs must embark on a dangerous mission that will force them to confront the darkest corners of their pasts. Will this dysfunctional group tear themselves apart, or find redemption and unite as something much more before it’s too late?
